My name is Penne` La Rue. I received a Bachelor’s degree in social work in 2010 at the University of California, Chico, Ca. During that time I gained experience working with victims of domestic and sexual violence. I received my Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix, Sacramento, Ca,. During this time I worked with children who were detained by the child welfare system as well as children who had experienced traumatic events in the lives. I also worked with clients who suffer with Schizophrenia as the lead clinician of a day program designed to provide therapy, recreation and medical support services. I graduated in 2013 and received my California state license from the Board of Behavioral Sciences in 2014. I have since worked with Individuals, Families, teens, and children to help them resolve issues that are affecting their lives in a negative way. I am an eclectic therapist and use many different types of therapies to help meet the needs of the client. My strengths are in child therapy and the treatment of clients with a traumatic life history. I am a nonjudgmental, easy going therapist who believes in meeting the client where they are.
